Drake Price

WARSAW — Pasta fans can come to Lincoln Elementary School from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today, July 9, for a spaghetti dinner and benefit one of Lincoln Elementary’s favorite sons — Drake Price. While there is no specific cost for the dinner, all proceeds will go to the Price family to help with medical bills. Price has an upcoming surgery and the dinner was planned to help with some of the costs.

The Lincoln student, who was honored by the city of Warsaw in February with Drake Price Day and was named a 2018 Riley Champion by Riley Children’s Hospital, has been battling multiple health issues since doctors found a brain tumor in February 2017.

The physical challenges of the condition and the surgery would not prove to be Price’s only challenge as he suffered a stroke shortly after the operation. From that setback, Price endured a rigorous rehabilitation to learn how walk and talk again. A year later, he was honored by his school. Drake Price is the son of Miles and Charity Price.
