A “Gala Affair” was held Saturday night, May 16, for 65 Warsaw High School prom attendees at the Warsaw Elks Lodge, 310 Center St., Warsaw.
A delightful buffet was served with a carved top sirloin station (from Owens Market) including vegetables, salad, rolls and an assortment of delicious homemade desserts from Julie Rankin Gourmet Desserts and frozen treats from Dairy Queen. Prom pictures were taken courtesy of Cox Studio of Warsaw. Wildman Uniform and Linen graciously provided table linens and Maple Avenue Florist decorated beautiful floral arrangements for the dining tables.
Randy Warren, exalted ruler quoted, “This is one of the best things our lodge and community has ever done. It’s all about the kids and what we can do to help with expenses for educational and social school activity events will continue to be our goal.”
At the close of the event, the floral arrangements were distributed by members to several nursing homes in our area. Elks members and Warsaw High School teachers, volunteered their time to set up, serve and clean the lodge and for making this special occasion a successful event.
