Warsaw Community Public Library upcoming clubs and events:
Join the Warsaw Community Public Library winter reading program. It is available to adults and teens and participants and earn prizes for every 500 pages read up to 5,000 pages. The program starts Monday, Jan. 12 and ends Saturday, Feb. 14.
Winter break movie afternoon will take place from 2:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2. The movie will be shown in meeting room AB. Call or check events calendar to see what’s showing. Rated PG-13.
Cookbook club meets from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5. Bring your favorite soup recipes.
Computer clinic will meet from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7. Bring your computer questions and problems.
Drop in to play video games and watch a movie from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7. Ages 13-18 only and proof of age may be required.
Off the shelf reading group meets from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8. “The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry” by Gabrielle Zevin is the current book.
The Lake City Piecemakers Quilt Club meets from 9:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9. Bring a completed log cabin block and any projects you’ve been working on.
Chess club will meet at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, Jan. 17, Jan. 24 and Jan. 31. Bring your chess game if you have one. Club is for all levels.
Knit and Purl club meets from 6 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12. Bring your projects and help is available. For all levels.
The writers club will meet at 6:30 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12. Topics include ‘Stories by the Fireplace’, ‘New Years Eve’, ‘Resolutions soon forgotten’ and ‘Snow’.
The library genealogy club will get together 11 a.m. until noon Tuesday, Jan. 13. Genealogist Beth Smith will talk about adoption and finding birth parents in meeting room C.
Learn how to manage your diabetes from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20. Learn how nutrition and exercise can control diabetes. Registration is required for this event.
Hooked on crochet meets from 6 p.m. until 7:30 pm.m Tuesday, Jan. 20. Bring your projects and help is available.
Registration is required for ‘Savvy Social Security Planning for Baby Boomers’, an event from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Learn what it means to be gluten free from 12:15 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21.
There will be a card making class from 6 p.m. until 7:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26. Make three cards with staff member Faith Kettereer, a Stampin’ Up consultant. $8 is required at time of class and registration is required.
‘Stay Young for the first 100 Years’ has been rescheduled to 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27. Registration required.
