Robert ‘Bobby’ A. Johnson
Robert “Bobby” A. Johnson, 71, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 12:25 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born June 24, 1941, in Warsaw to Joseph and Viola (Fisher) Johnson. He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw and worked for Carey Excavating Inc. as a heavy equipment operator for 25 years before retiring in 2009. In earlier years he drove semi surviving a terrible accident requiring a very long recovery.
He was mechanically inclined, described as a likable person, and his sister recalls him helping in putting up fair rides in earlier years.
Mr. Johnson is survived by a son: Robert L. Johnson, Claypool, Ind.; two sisters: Lois Maxine Rockey, Warsaw; Mildred “Midge” Pook, Jackson, Tenn.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son: Larry Johnson; seven brothers: Russell Johnson, Walter Johnson, Ernie Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Lawrence Johnson, Gerald Johnson and Rex Johnson; and a sister: Marilyn Boggs.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Packerton Cemetery, Packerton, Ind.
