Frances Thomas-Albrecht
Frances Thomas-Albrecht, 97, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.
She was born June 4, 1915, in Kosciusko County to Calvin A. and Maggie (Oldham) Reese. She attended Orion Grade School and Harrison Center Grade School and was a 1933 graduate of Warsaw High School.
She married Max Frederick Thomas on Dec. 24, 1933, in Roann, Ind. After Max’s passing in 1987, she married Konrad Albrecht on June 8, 1997, in Warsaw.
Frances worked in the assessor’s office in the Kosciusko County Courthouse from 1960-1966 and was a bank teller at the Etna Bank from 1967 until she retired in 1978. She was a member of Cook’s Chapel, Warsaw; loved her family immensely, was fun loving; devout Christian and loved to sing.
She is survived by a son: Larry (June) Thomas, Warsaw; three grandchildren: Anitra (Gerry) Hicks, Leesburg, Ind.; Rachele (Jim) McKenzie, Atlanta, Ga.; Phil (Shelly) Thomas, North Manchester, Ind.; eight great-grandchildren; several great-great-granchildren; four stepdaughters: JoAnn Kehoe, Bourbon, Ind.; RosaLee (Ka) Rettinger, Bremen, Ind.; Peggy Hoffmeister, San Diego, Calif.; Ruth Ann (Bill) Wright, Indianapolis, Ind.; and several stepgrandchildren and step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband: Max Frederick Thomas; second husband: Konrad Albrecht; and a stepdaughter: Aileen Brown Norris.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Bollenbacher, chaplain for Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, and Pastor Hank Lowman, retired pastor of Cook’s Chapel, officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Ind.
