Mayor Joe Thallemer Announces 2019 Re-Election Campaign
WARSAW — Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer announced this morning that he will seek a third term as mayor in the 2019 municipal election.
Thallemer, in his seventh year as mayor, was first elected in 2011. Prior to that, he was a three-term councilman, serving at-large from 2000 to 2011.
Thallemer is committed to continuing work on projects that are good for Warsaw. He wants to focus on growth opportunities, fiscal responsibility and continued improvements in local citizens’ daily lives.
Discussing the accomplishments of his administration, Thallemer highlighted fiscal responsibility and the growth of Warsaw.
“Our taxpayers have enjoyed favorable tax rates,” he said. “We have focused on policies and projects that stimulate growth and opportunity right here in Warsaw. This broadens the local tax base and keeps taxes low for everyone.”
“We are proud of our track record of serving our community members and keeping our promises,” said Thallemer. “We will continue to do what is good for Warsaw and focus on moving our entire community forward. I will work harder than ever to continue to earn the confidence and support that I have received for the past seven years. In my next term, I will work even more diligently to serve the community that I love. I’ve invested my heart and soul into serving Warsaw and am committed to continuing that good work.”
Mayor Thallemer will file in early January and begin campaigning for the May primary.
