TVS Hosts Learn-To-Swim Classes

Swim lessons will be available to patrons of the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation during its summer learn-to-swim program.
There will be four different levels offered during a 10-day session starting June 4 and ending June 17. The parent and child class is for children 6 months to 3 years of age and a parent must be in the water with the child. The level one beginners class is for children who will become comfortable in the water and introduced to basic skills. The Level two fundamental skills class is for children who will learn to swim on their front and back using the appropriate skills. The level three stroke development class will build on the skills previously learned in level two.
The level three class runs from 1 p.m. to 1:35 p.m. followed by two Level two classes from 1:45 p.m. to 2:20 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 3:05 p.m. The level one class runs from 3:15 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. followed by the parent and child class from 4 p.m. to 4:20 p.m.
The cost of any 10-day Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 class is $20 per child. Two children from the same household may participate for a total cost of $30. Three children of the same household may participate for a total cost of $35. The cost for each additional child from the same household is $5 each.
The cost of the five-day Parent & Child class is $10.

Registration forms are available from the office of each school in the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation. The registration deadline for the summer learn-to-swim classes is Friday, May 9.
