WARSAW — The possibility of Warsaw Community Public Library joining a statewide Overdrive consortium was discussed during a brief WCPL Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, Dec. 13.
WCPL Director Ann Zydek told the board she recently attended a virtual Indiana Public Library Association meeting hosted by the Indiana Library Federation.
Through joining the statewide Overdrive consortium, digital content availability at WCPL could potentially be expanded in January. Currently, WCPL is part of a smaller Overdrive consortium serving the northern part of the state.
“They want us to decide before the end of the year if we want to be a part of it,” said Zydek.
An informational meeting is being planned to determine if WCPL wants to get involved.
The board also determined its slate of board officers will remain the same going into 2022; the slate will be officially voted on during the board’s January meeting. Chris Merrill, Barbara Beck, Jill Beehler, and Ben Rice will serve in their current positions as president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer, respectively.
The board’s next meeting is at 4 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10.
