KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The Kosciusko County Community Foundation has approved a $91,200 grant for Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County, providing seed money that will go to building four more homes over the next two years.
KCCF is also planning to hire two consultants with grant money from Phase VIII of Lilly Endowment Inc’s Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow initiative also known as GIFT VIII. One consultant will help KCCF understand the housing needs of low-income individuals in the community. The other will be working with Habitat for Humanity of Kosciusko County to assess operational capacity and help develop a plan to grow home ownership, home ownership education and auxiliary services to meet the needs of those individuals.
KCCF intends to share the results of the consultants’ work with elected officials, affordable housing organizations and organizations that provide services to low-income individuals by late summer 2024.
