WARSAW — Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting Wednesday, Jan. 24, for The Healing Road, 819 E. Winona Ave., Warsaw,.

Dan Cervantes, owner of The Healing Road, said the doors opened Jan. 2 at the East Winona Avenue location. Before that, he was doing telehealth out of his home office for over a year.

Cervantes said The Healing Road offers mental health counseling and behavioral counseling, so he provides some counseling for sexual, pornography and substance abuse addictions.

Cervantes said there was a time he got counseling for himself and he realized there wasn’t as much help out there, so he felt the need to help others. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in Christian counseling and a master’s degree in professional counseling.

He hopes The Healing Road brings more availability to mental health care and healing in trauma and emotional disorders. He deals with people ages 8 and up.

During counseling, Cervantes said, “We typically work through skills or talk about their problems through life and we help them problemsolve through it.”

He hopes to grow his practice and take up more of the building as he grows.

Cervantes said there is a cost for The Healing Road’s service, but there is a sliding scale. He also takes some health insurance like Anthem or United Behavioral Health.
