Warsaw Man Arrested After Officers Respond To Drug Overdose

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested on drug charges after officers responded to a report of him overdosing.
Cory Allen Martin, 36, 111 S. Wood St. Apartment A., Warsaw, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 4 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, a class A misdemeanor.
On Nov. 20, a Warsaw Police officer responded to a drug overdose involving Martin, who was not breathing upon the officer’s arrival at the scene. The officer administered Narcan to Martin and began CPR until medical personnel arrived. Martin regained consciousness.
According to court documents, upon searching the residence, officers found hypodermic needles, drug paraphernalia, 0.6 grams of marijuana, and 20.3 grams of meth.
Martin has prior convictions for burglary, narcotic drug possession, failure to appear, and meth possession. He also currently has an active criminal case for meth and paraphernalia possession.
Martin was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 29, with a $25,250 surety and cash bond.
