Northern Indiana Lakes Festival Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Parade
WARSAW — The Northern Indiana Lakes Festival has been a summer staple in the community for many years. This year’s festival marks the 10th anniversary and a parade was added to celebrate the milestone.
Families lined the streets of downtown Warsaw as the parade traveled to Central Park this morning, May 26. Many different organizations from all over the county were involved including Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory, Whitko High School Marching Pride, Echoes of the Past Tractor Club, Lee Anne Stewart Dance School and more.
The parade is just one of the many events planned for this weekend. All events will be held at Central Park, 225 E. Fort Wayne St., Warsaw. Below is a schedule of the festival’s events.
Saturday, May 26
- 11 a.m. Bounce houses and Art Around the Lakes open
- 11 a.m. Education, commercial and food vendors open
- 11 a.m. Kayaks for kids
- 11 a.m. The Gypsy face painter
- 11 a.m. Indiana Barnyard Hullabaloo petting farm
- 11:30 a.m. DNR family fishing event
- 12 p.m. Human hamster balls
- 12:30 p.m. Prize drawings begin
- 1 p.m. Minnetrista Clarity play (stage 2)
- 2 p.m. Silly Safari with Coyote Chris
- 2 p.m. Spikeball roundnet tournament
