Rosa Isela Ramos
Rosa Isela Ramos of Winona Lake passed away at 3:07 a.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2017 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home of Fort Wayne at the age of 43.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1973 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Pedro Monsivais Leija and Rosa Maria Rodriguez Guzman, who both survive. On November 5, 1994 she was married to Gregorio Soriano Ramos, who survives.
Rosa was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past 26 years. She moved from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Winona Lake in 1991. In 2012 she started working as an English Language Learning Assistant at Jefferson Elementary School in Winona Lake, having to retire due to illness. She was a friend to everyone she met, and was an especially loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter. Rosa was a very happy person who loved God, family and nature. She enjoyed every minute of life and tried to see the best in everything. Rosa felt that life is short and we must enjoy it to the fullest.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 22 years, Gregorio “Greg” Soriano Ramos (Winona Lake); two sons: Gregorio (wife Briette) Ramos (Teconsha, Mich.); Greg Ramos (Winona Lake); and four daughters: Chanda Rodrigues (Warsaw); Oliva (husband Alonso) Gamora (Warsaw); Jessenia Ramos (Winona Lake); Giselle Ramos (Winona Lake). Also surviving are ten grandchildren: Marcos, Marselo, Katiana, Angelica, Giovanni, Dulce, River, Romina, Skyler, and Isaiah; four brothers: Jaime (wife Manuela) Monsivais (Warsaw); Pedro (wife Soila) Monsivais (Warsaw); Juan Carlos (wife Susana) Monsivais (Mexico); Raul (wife Abril) Monsivais (Mexico); and her sister: Yadhira (husband Fernando) Alonso.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 from 4 – 8 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m.
Her funeral mass will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 125 N. Harrison Street, Warsaw and celebrated by Father Phil DeVolder. Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
