David Hoffert Welcomes Community To New School Year
Dear students, parents and community patrons,
On behalf of Warsaw Community Schools, I welcome you to the 2017-2018 school year. This school year promises to be the greatest year yet in the long-storied tradition and history of WCS. Our mission is “to inspire and equip all students to continuously acquire and apply knowledge and skills while pursuing their dreams and enriching the lives of others.”
As WCS, we are proud to serve and represent our local community through many award-winning programs. Your local schools have been recognized nationally at the White House, as well as state-wide, as a leader in public education in the areas of robust curriculum, K-12 STEM education, a state-leading career center, trailblazing dual language immersion, technology integration coupled with extra and co- curricular excellence.
Our commitment is to continuing advancements to meet the future needs of our students and community. During the previous school year, WCS went through an intensive community input process of strategic planning focused on the future of student learning. Systematic advancements are being implemented to provide our 7,200 students a world-class education focused on their future dreams and career goals. These unique accelerations include the expansion of STEM education, world language acquisition, the arts, educational partnerships with local industry, a focus on social emotional wellness of students and facility planning designed for safety and academic space needs.
Our Board of School Trustees, educational staff and administration wish to extend our gratitude for the community’s support as we open our doors to the start of a great year. WCS welcomes your visits, comments and partnerships in education. Please feel free to contact us. We are here to serve and partner in our community’s education with you!
