Cromwell Man Charged With Intimidation
CROMWELL — A Cromwell man has been arrested on charges of intimidation.
Shawn Paul Buchanan, 39, 9768 E. Excalibur Place, Cromwell, was arrested July 6 and charged with one count of intimidation, a level 6 felony.
On June 23, officers with Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to a threat to life call at 9768 E. Excalibur Place, Cromwell.
Upon arrival, officers met with a male who advised that his aunt was living at that residence with her sister and her sister’s husband, Buchanan. The male stated that his aunt was moving out of the residence and had requested that he accompany her to the residence to obtain her personal property.
The male advised that he, his wife and his aunt had gone to the residence to obtain the personal items. He stated he was on the roadway when Buchanan ran out of the residence and threatened him, stating, “Come on, b****, I’ll whip your a**. Come on my property, you prison boy, I’ll blow your brains out!”
Officers spoke with the male subject’s wife, who said she observed Buchanan run out of the residence, threaten her husband and attempt to provoke her husband into coming on to his property.
Officers also spoke with the male subject’s aunt, who confirmed that she witnessed Buchanan threatening her nephew while he was standing in the middle of the roadway.
Officers then spoke with Buchanan, who advised that the female was coming to the residence to get her personal belongings as the result of an argument between her and his wife. Buchanan admitted to running out of the house and making threats to the male subject.
Buchanan was booked into Kosciusko County Jail on July 6 and held on a bond of $5,250 surety and cash.
