TWF Hosting Summer Reception July 6
NORTH WEBSTER — The Watershed Foundation is hosting the second summer reception at the Tippy Creek Winery to let its friends know about the work, catch the public up on recent projects and showcase the progress.
Join TWF from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 6, for tasting, learning and fun. The event begins with a social hour with cheese and wine for purchase. Lyn Crighton, TWF’s executive director, will then present recent news on the foundation, as well as plans for 2017. Donations are welcome during the event.
TWF was founded in 1997 to protect and improve water quality in the Upper Tippecanoe River Watershed; spanning from Crooked Lake in Whitley County to the Warsaw-Winona area. During the past 20 years, TWF has worked with farmers and lake residents to implement more than 200 water quality improvement projects. In the last four years alone, these efforts have prevented more than 815 million pounds of weeds and algae from growing in area lakes and streams.
Tippy Creek Winery is located at 5920 N. CR 200E, Leesburg.
The first 50 people will receive one free tasting, courtesy of the winery. This event is limited to 100 people, so be sure to reserve a spot for this free event.
Individuals can RSVP by calling TWF at (574) 834-3242 or emaling [email protected].
