Annual Craft Bazaar Will Feature Many Items
SYRACUSE — One of the area’s largest craft bazaars is back for another year. The annual Wawasee Middle School PTO Craft Bazaar, benefitting the PTO, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the school, 9850 SR 13, between Syracuse and North Webster.
Approximately 230 vendors will fill the commons area and other parts of the school. If you are looking for a Christmas gift or just like crafts, this is worth taking the time to stop by. Handmade crafts, baked goods, jewelry, scarves, holiday decor, glass, pottery, wood products and much more will be available.
Organized and planned by the WMS PTO, it is the only fundraiser of the year for the PTO and the funds are eventually put back into the school in various ways. Helping with field trips for every grade level, helping with teacher school supplies, providing an ice cream party each trimester for the students, a scholarship fund and aiding with science dissecting are among the ways the PTO invests in WMS.
This year a new twist for the bazaar is teachers will be serving breakfast and lunch. Funds raised from the meals will be used for a teacher committee at the school.
Parking is available in the school parking lot, but it will fill up quickly. A shuttle service will be provided from nearby Vineyard Community Church, 7566 E. 1000N, just to the north of the school.
Admission is free to the craft bazaar. For more information, call the school at (574) 457-8839.
