Clara is survived by three daughters: Ann (Wes) Bell, North Webster; Lynn (Phil) Garber, Goshen; and Lisa Klingshirn, Fort Wayne; three sons: Greg (Paula) Kaiser, Milford; Brent (Cindy) Kaiser, Syracuse; and John (Connie) Kaiser, Winona lake; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; along with a sister: Phyllis (Herb) Hueni, Osceola. Clara graduated from Milford High School and went on to earn a teaching degree from Goshen College. She substitute taught in the Wawasee Community School system for many, many years. Clara’s teaching ability was never left in the classroom as she was always teaching her children lessons in life and right from wrong. She didn’t leave her talent at home either, as she was very involved with 4-H as a sponsor, organizer and leader. Although teaching was her talent, she too had a desire to be taught and learn from the Lord. She was very involved in the Wawasee Community Bible Church for many years, as the church now sits on the very land of the family farm that she was born on. She enjoyed attending Bible study, was a devoted member, a Secret Sister and a Golden Prayer Sister.
A funeral service will be held in Clara’s honor at Wawasee Community Bible Church, Milford, at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19. Family and friends will be received from 1-4:30 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. Pastors Josh Weiland and Jack Barthel will officiate. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery.
