WARSAW — Natalie Biggerstaff’s fourth grade class at Harrison Elementary dedicated the month of February to showing love and kindness to those in their local community.
They began a month long service project of funding, creating and delivering care packages to patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments through the KCH Cancer Care Center in Warsaw. In two weeks the students raised a total of $330.
Students researched side effects of chemotherapy and discovered which items would be best to include in the packages. Their efforts were warmly appreciated by the staff and patients of the KCH Cancer Care Center.
