TVMS Cagers Busy On Hardwood
AKRON – The Tippecanoe Valley Middle School basketball teams have been busy on the hardwood of late.
The 7th grade boys A team lost a 33-29 final to Argos in overtime. Ethan Hartman had 10 points and Quentin Aldridge nine to lead Valley. Payton Mills scored six points and Alex Craft added four.
The 7th grade boys B team lost to Argos 22-14. Lucas Goble had six points and George Gillman four for Valley. Johnny Gosalez and Mayson Cooper each had two points.
The 8th grade boys A team lost to Argos 34-14. Cade Brouyette led Valley with eight points. Braxton Tolson scored three points, Tucker Shull two and Tanner Trippiedi one.
The 7th grade boys team also lost to Bremen 37-11. Aldridge had five points and Mills, Craft and Chase Miller each had two points.
The 8th grade boys team lost to Bremen. Tolson poured in 20 points to lead Valley. Brouyette scored six points, while Trippiedi had five and Jace Potter three. Jaydin Conley, Jalen Potter and Luke Drake each had two points.
The 6th grade boys A team beat Rochester 37-26. Rex Kirchenstein led the way with 15 points. Landon Walters netted 14 points, while DJ Estep had six and Peyton Potter two.
The 6th grade boys B team lost to Rochester 15-11. Isaac Shafer had four points and Wade Melanson and Toren Lewis each had two points for Valley.
The Valley 7th grade girls A team beat Southwood 32-4. Sidney Wagner had 14 points and Rylee Kauffman six.
The 8th grade girls A team topped Southwood 41-8. Makenzie Woodcox led the winners with 19 points. Jillian Walls scored 12 points and Emma Craig had five. Faith Kamp and Bethany Johnson each scored two points and Karina Young had one.
The 8th grade girls A team also beat Northfield 39-17. Woodcox scored 14 points and Walls 13 in the win. Kemp had six points and Craig, Youn and Jadyn Kolesiak each had two points.
The 7th grade girls B team lost to Northfield 48-11. Valley was led by Kauffman, Wagner, Ashley Butler, Hannah Parson and Hayley Backus, who each scored two points. Taylor Biddle had one point.
