Bicentennial Torches Available To Area Communities
WARSAW — The Kosciusko County Committee to Celebrate Indiana’s Bicentennial wants each community in the county to have a torch to display at events throughout 2016.
The idea is to show state pride throughout the year celebrating Indiana’s 200th anniversary of statehood. Then, in the fall, the torches will be on display at the courthouse in Warsaw during a festival set for Sept. 30 through Oct. 1.
Following the festival, the torches will be returned to each town. Torches are also available to communities outside Kosciusko County.
Each 2D light-up torch is 8 feet tall by 4 feet wide at the widest star points. It comes in two pieces for easy assembly and storage. Each torch is $500.
