Science of Superman
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Superman! Wait! No, it’s Professor Steve. Watch in amazement as he does everything that Superman can do and learn the science behind it all. Plan to attend this entertaining program at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, at the Milford Community Building. Fun for the whole family. We will be drawing for prizes at the end of the program.
Teen Event
Join us for our last teen craft event at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 23, in the library meeting room. We will be painting peg people to look like superheroes and villains. Teens are allowed to paint up to two peg people. Bring your friends and we will provide the supplies and a super snack of ice cream.
Family Summer Story Time
Visit the library at either 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, for the seventh week of family summer story time. Just one session left. Sue Bowerman will share stories about heroes who save the world. After she shares stories, the children will get to make a craft and enjoy a snack. Each family participating in story time will receive a book to add to their home library. There is just one family summer story time left. Call (574) 658-4312 with any questions.
Summer Reading Program
As our summer reading program is quickly coming to an end, here are just a few reminders and dates to remember. Keep up the reading and earning those prizes. There are many of you reading and many hours have been read. Aug. 1 is the last day to turn in hours. Don’t forget to read five hours or more by Aug. 1, to get a ticket to join us for our finale picnic at noon Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Waubee Park. Teens, read 50 hours or more and receive a ticket to the ‘Make your own Super Sundae’ party on Monday, Aug. 3. Keep on reading and turning in prizes every day. See you at the library.
