Burton Lee Youngstrom
Burton Lee Youngstrom, 85, Rochester, passed away at 10:43 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at his residence.
He was born on March 1, 1930, in Alta, Iowa, the son of Oscar and Dorothy (Andre) Youngstrom. On May 4, 1953, in Nemaha, Iowa, he married Margaret E. Ashton and she survives.
Burton had worked as a Manufacturing Representative for Monogram Industries and a Purchasing Agent for Commercial Structures, Nappanee. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Rochester, Indiana and enjoyed woodworking, stained glass, playing cards with his friends and family and playing golf.
Surviving is his wife: Margaret E. Youngstrom, Rochester; children: Tim (Andrea) Youngstrom, Roswell, Ga.; Teri (Mike) Furnivall, Rochester; Scott (Carol) Youngstrom, Ocala, Fla.; Stuart (Deborah) Youngstrom, Rochester; grandchildren: Ashley (Furnivall) (Mike) Cilfone, Chicago, Ill; Craig Crunivall, Seattle, Wash.; Corbin Furnivall, Hattiesburg, Miss.; Ben and Seth Youngstrom, Roswell, Ga.; Tyler and Logan Youngstrom, Rochester; Eric and Jamie Youngstrom, Ocala, Fla.; great-grandaughter: Siena Clifone, Chicago, Ill.; and sister: Margo Chapman, Santa Barbara, Calif. He was preceded in death by his brother: Andre Youngstrom; and his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 13, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with Pastor Kerry O’Brien officiating. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rochester. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
