Wagon Wheel Theatre Live Radio Play Tickets Go On Sale Friday
News Release
WARSAW — The Wagon Wheel Theatre is back. Tickets for “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday morning, Oct. 2.
Performances will begin on Dec. 4 and run until Dec. 20.
Join in this holiday season for a professional presentation of Joe Landry’s “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play.” This heartwarming version of the original holiday classic movie is set in 1946 at the WBFR radio station where a cast of five actors are preparing to present “It’s a Wonderful Life” to its live listening audience.
The cast brings to life more than a dozen characters in the story of the idealistic George Bailey as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve. The play is enhanced by the cast also performing as live Foley artists providing all the atmosphere and sound effects throughout the broadcast. It’s a show within the show. Complete with clever 1940s-style commercial jingles and Christmas carol sing-alongs, this version of the holiday classic is a delightful way to start the holiday season — and yes, this show has music.
