Online Registration Running Out For 2019 Lake Games
WINONA LAKE — An athletic event designed to benefit the needy, while promoting wellness and friendly competition is a few days away and the registration window is closing fast.
According to the social media page of the Lakes Games, Wednesday, July 24 is the last day to register online for the Lake Games Ultimate Challenger 2019.
Events during the two-day event include an obstacle course, a Crossfit competition, off-road bike race and a trail run. Same-day registration will be available for all events on Friday and Saturday (July 26 and 27) but there will be a limited amount of swag bags available at the registration tables, according to event organizers.
“Our mission is to bring premier sporting events to Kosciusko County and the surrounding area that promotes community through competition and ministers to the mind, body and soul through mental and physical activities,” said the Lakes Games Facebook page. “We are a not-for-profit organization that is the second-largest event management organization in Kosciusko County that professionally runs athletic events.
According to the site, all net proceeds of The Lake Games event will go to Heart Soul Mind Strength Haiti (HSMS), a non-profit organization who has provided physical and spiritual support to the children of Jeremie, Haiti since 2010, and is lead by Lindsay Anderson, a native resident of Kosciusko County and graduate of Grace College.
The event will start at 7 p.m. Friday and at 11 p.m. on Saturday. The event will be held at Grace College on 100 Publishers Drive, Winona Lake.
