Warsaw Library Hosts Monthly Pokémon Club
WARSAW — From 4 to 6 p.m. every second Wednesday of the month, Warsaw Community Public Library hosts a club that is quickly “catching” on.
Pokémon Club is currently held in Meeting Room C of the library. During the meeting, kids and adults alike can participate in several Pokémon-themed activities.
The meeting is primarily focused on the Pokémon card game, with participants able to both trade cards and play the card game.
Other activities include Pokémon-themed crafts and Pokémon Mad Libs. Meeting goers can also play a Pokémon headband game that challenges one player to describe a Pokémon while the other attempts to guess what it is.
Members and even library staff members play the game Pokémon Go during the meeting. The game is a type of simulation that allows players to “catch” Pokémon and add to their collection.
The idea for a Pokémon Club was brought up by a library patron who is active in the library’s video game club. Library staff latched onto the idea and helped create a monthly club that’ll interest anyone who wants to “catch them all.”
