Leesburg Students Learn, Play Spikeball
LEESBURG — Students at Leesburg Elementary School had the opportunity on Friday, April 27, to learn and experiment with a fun game called Spikeball.
Spikeball is most popular with males between the ages of 18 and 30. Students were able to learn about the rewards of teamwork and coordination through playing the game, while helping to build the fanbase with younger generations.
Morgan Michalski, staffed by Spikeball, visited Leesburg to teach the school’s gym classes different variations and training methods of the game. Students were introduced to many essential skills such as communication, hand-eye coordination and teamwork.
Students from kindergarten to sixth grade were able to train and play the game.
