Girls Treated Like Princesses During Warsaw’s Daddy Daughter Dance
WARSAW — The Center Lake Pavilion was turned into a ballroom fit for a princess during Warsaw Parks Department’s annual Daddy Daughter Dance held Friday night, Feb. 10.
The dance floor was full all night as 146 lucky people got to enjoy the fun. The tickets for the annual dance sold out after being available for only a little over three days.
“It’s so fun to see the girl’s eyes light up when they walk in the door, see the decorations and hear the music,” commented Recreation Director Sheila Wieringa. “They’re ready to dance.”
Along with a night of dancing, each girl got the chance to have her photo taken with daddy at a photo booth with a Paris inspired background. Fancy finger foods and decorations rounded out the princess-like treatment.
Smiles and laughter were had by all as the girls showed their dads how to dance to popular songs like the “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” and “Cupid’s Shuffle.”
The event is sponsored by Physician’s Urgent Care and Mark Skibowski Team/REMAX Lakes.
