CenturyLink Donates To KC Riley Fund At Community Foundation
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — CenturyLink recently presented a donation of $4,000 to the Kosciusko County Community Foundation for the KC Riley Kids Fund. The donation represented proceeds from CenturyLink’s annual golf outing and was made in memory of long-time employee, Jane Mannan, who passed away on Sept. 29, 2016 after battling cancer.
The KC Riley Kids Fund is a component fund of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. The fund supports Riley Children’s Hospital and the Kosciusko County children and families they serve by assisting with travel and food expenses related to their trips to Riley.
“Jane enjoyed doing things with kids,” said Ted Madden, region operations manager for CenturyLink. “The gift in Jane’s memory will honor both her care for children and acknowledge her own battle with cancer, a battle that many children served by Riley Children’s Hospital also face.”
Since 1968, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Inc. has helped donors achieve their charitable dreams. The Community Foundation is a public charity that grants over $2 million annually in the areas of education, health, arts and culture, recreation, civic projects, environment and human services. Gifts made to the Community Foundation are tax-deductible.
