Marshall County Under Winter Storm Watch
The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a winter storm watch in effect from Saturday, Jan. 9, to Sunday, Jan. 10, for Marshall County.
According to the NWS, snow is expected to spread across the area Saturday night as a strong low pressure system moves northeast through the Ohio Valley. The snow will transition to lake effect snow Sunday as the low departs and arctic air moves in behind it.
Total snowfall across the area during this timeframe is expected to be 3-7 inches with highest amounts across Berrien and Cass Counties in Michigan and Laporte and St. Joseph counties in Indiana.
Northwest winds will increase late Saturday night and remain strong Sunday causing areas of blowing and drifting snow.
