TNT Childcare Moves To Warsaw Church Of God
TNT Childcare and Preschool Ministry, formally housed in the K21 Health Services Building will be moving to the Warsaw Church of God in July to better serve high school students who are parenting young children.
In addition to high school and college parents, the daycare and preschool will be taking enrollment applications from families in the community whom are not student parents, as space allows. TNT will be taking applications for staff members starting mid June.
TNT was established in 1998 in the Warsaw Church of God location as a program to help young high schoolers who experienced an unplanned pregnancy and wanted to continue their education.
Later the program moved to the K21 Health Services Pavilion as a program under Heartline Pregnancy Center, Inc., also located in the pavilion.
With the increase in enrollment and the desire to continue to serve the high school students, Heartline Executive Director, Amy Rosswurm, and TNT Program Director, Katie Burgin, along with Warsaw Church of God Pastor, Tim Kumfer, re-established a plan for the program to once again be at the 1059 Rozella Road, Warsaw, church.
“I am thrilled at the opportunity to assist in moving this program to the Church of God to better fulfill the primary mission of the program by serving high school students who find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy situation,” commented Rosswurm.
With the move, the TNT program will be structured as a ministry facilitated by Pastor Kumfer with oversight from the church’s elder board. Kumfer stated,” The TNT Childcare and Preschool Ministry has been a vitally important program in Warsaw and Kosciusko County; assisting teen parents to remain in school, by providing quality care for their children and for the children of our community. Warsaw Church of God is excited to take the leading role in this ministry. We believe that we are called to serve the people of the community. What better way to serve is there than by meeting one of the greatest needs of the families, teens, and children of the area.”
Amanda Sia, associate in Early Childhood Education, will assume the role as executive director, “After accepting the position of Executive Director, I feel honored and blessed to be a part of TNT’s ministry in a new capacity. As I take on this position I am believing for this program to greatly expand and reach as many students and families in our community as possible!”
Heartline Pregnancy Center, Inc. will remain at the K21 Health Services Pavilion located at 1515 Provident Drive, Warsaw, Indiana and continue to serve Kosciusko, Whitley, and Fulton counties through free pregnancy testing and ultrasound, educational classes and support, as well as, the Image Clear Ultrasound Mobile Unit program, and the Beds And Britches (B.A.B.E. Boutique).
