Milford library events this week:
Kosciusko County Big Read
Join the Columbian Reading Circle and discuss this year’s Kosciusko County Big Read title, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. The book can be found in a yellow bin displayed at your library. Read the book and be a part of the discussion at 7 p.m. Monday, March 9. The books in the yellow bins are free to all residents. There will be free refreshments. The discussion will take place in the library’s meeting room.
After School is Cool
Library staff have a winter activity planned for After School is Cool at 3:30 pm. Tuesday, March 10. Bring your friends and play board games in the library meeting room. After playing some board games, enjoy a nice snack with your friends. Remember that each After School is Cool you attend earns you 10 points. When you have 40 points, you can choose a paperback book to add to your home library.
Winter Preschool Story Time
Get into the rythym of this week’s story time with staff. This week’s theme is ‘shake your maracas!’ You can choose between three sessions: 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, or 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12. Listen to staff read “Time to Cha-Cha-Cha” by Kiki Thorne and “Rockin’ Maraca Adventure” by Molly Reisner. After listening to storries we will make a noise maker with objects you can find around the house. When we are finished, enjoy a snack of pretzel and grapes in the shape of maracas. Make sure to join us for this last week of story time. Spring story time will start up in April.
Adult Craft Night
The Adult Craft night for Monday, Feb. 9, had been postponed. The craft night will now be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 12. Kathy Boyts will help you make a mixed-media photo frame. Register at the Adult Circulation Desk by Friday, March 6 to get a spot for the craft night. Money due when you sign up and tell your friends. Craft nights are very informal and relaxing.
