Grace Lutheran will host a movie night from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. The event will feature the film, Pray the Devil Back to Hell, a gripping documentary about a group of heroic, visionary women who were instrumental in bringing peace to Liberia.
The New York Times described this movie as, “…uplifting, disheartening, inspiring, enraging – the mind reels while watching the documentary”.
This award-winning movie is made up archival images and includes scenes of violence, which may not be suitable for younger viewers. This movie night is free to attend, and popcorn and a beverage will be provided. A free-will donation will be collected for those that would like to contribute.
Grace Lutheran is located at 203 E. Main St., Syracuse. Grace Lutheran offers worship services at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays (with Holy Communion on every Sunday), Sunday School, Worship Wednesdays, Bible Study Quilt Ministry, vacation bible school along with community programs and events everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
