Former Gov. Mitch Daniels, who just completed a 10-year stint as Purdue University president, said Tuesday he will not run for the U.S. Senate, ending speculation that he would jump into the race after sitting Sen. Mike Braun decided to run for governor.

Luke Griner, a 2019 graduate of Wawasee High School, was one of eight students from Indiana’s 3rd Congressional District accepting appointments to the U.S. Service Academies’ Class of 2024. The announcement was made Wednesday, June 24, by U.S. Rep. Jim Banks.
