MENTONE — This morning the Mentone Egg Festival started off bright and early at 6 a.m. with the firemen’s pancake and sausage breakfast. Breakfast fueled everyone up for the 8 a.m. Egg City 5K Run. Residents lined up along Main Street to await the parade as it advanced downtown. This year’s parade theme was “The Olympics” with Eileen Bowser as the parade marshall.
