The women’s suffrage movement spanned decades. In 1911, the Woman’s Franchise League of Indiana was formed and became the propelling force for the right to vote. Women from all walks of life participated in the many marches, campaigns and demonstrations that finally resulted in the passage of the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote.
