Donald L. Scott
Donald L. Scott, 65, of Etna Green, Ind., passed away at 3:58 a.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center of Mishawaka, Ind.
He was born Oct. 24, 1947, to Edward and Edith (Fear) Scott at Plymouth, Ind.
Don joined the armed forces serving in the Army from 1967-1973. He attended Argos High School but received his GED while in the Army. Don was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Post #424 and had worked in factories most of his life.
Don is survived by his three sisters; Doris Hamman, Bourbon, Ind.; Martha Penn, South Bend, Ind.; and Mary Jane (Snider) Doyne, Bourbon; and sixteen nieces and nephews.
Proceeding in death were his parents and two brothers, Edward and Gerald.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504. A celebration of Don’s life will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, in the funeral home with Pastor Stormy Scherer-Berry of the Bourbon First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Summit Chapel Cemetery south of Bourbon, with Military Grave Site Services by the Bourbon American Legion of which he was a member.
