Joyce Louise Patrick
Joyce Louise Patrick passed away on May 2, 2021, at the Ester House Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart.
Joyce was born the daughter of George Ernest and Pauline Louise (Fox) Patrick Jan. 23, 1960 in Plymouth, and had been a resident of Bourbon, for the past several years. She was part of the 1978 graduating class of Plymouth High School. On June 23, 1984, she married Dennis Joseph Wirtz in Plymouth; he preceded her in death Oct. 3, 1987. Joyce married Remo John Tonelli July 7, 2001, in Crown Point; he preceded her in death on April 1, 2013.
She worked for several years as a CNA/QMA, first at Colonial Nursing Home in Crown Point, from 1984-1999, then at St. Anthony’s Nursing Home from 1999-2011.
During her free time, she enjoyed collecting Disney memorabilia, diamond painting and music. Joyce was very active as a mentor in the “Women Anchored in Hope” group, until her health prevented her from continuing. She also played the saxophone with the Marshall County Church Orchestra. She was a member at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Plymouth, Indiana.
Survivors include her sister: Phyllis (Harold) Daugherty and their three daughters (one deceased); five grandsons and one great granddaughter; sister Luanne (Larry) Manwaring and their two sons and one daughter, two granddaughters and one grandson; brother Thomas (Peggy Balke) Patrick and their three daughters, two grandsons and one granddaughter; and brother Gerald (Patricia Conlon) Patrick and their two daughters, three sons, two grandsons and two granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and 1 niece.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. May 12, at the Oak Hill Cemetery, with Father Spencer officiating.
