Merry Lea To Offer Family Program In Goshen
News Release
GOSHEN — When is a stick not a stick? How do you take leaves, mud, grass and pinecones and turn them into something completely different?
Join an educator from Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center in Witmer Woods, located at 1700 S. Main St., on the campus of Goshen College, from 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19.
Families will have the opportunity to explore as a family and use “loose parts” and their creativity to come up with a solution to a family challenge. Closed-toe shoes, bug spray and sunscreen are recommended.
The cost is $5 per family and registration is required on the Merry Lea website: https://www.goshen.edu/merrylea/category/event, by Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Several modifications are in place to make this in-person program as safe place for exploring together. They include self-screening before arriving at the event; wearing face masks/coverings; maintaining 6 feet of distance at all times; all materials will be sanitized before and after use by Merry Lea staff.
Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center is located just south of Wolf Lake halfway between Goshen and Fort Wayne. For questions regarding Merry Lea’s hours or new developments contact [email protected] or call (260) 799-5869.
