Overnight Snowfall Expected; More Snow And Rain Predicted For Saturday
WARSAW – An overnight snowfall will possibly leave a few inches of snow on the ground in Kosciusko County, but it is expected to be washed away by warming temps and rainfall Saturday morning, Jan. 18, the National Weather Service is predicting.
The forecast for Friday, Jan. 17, calls for mostly sunny conditions and a slight chance of snow. The high will be near 30 and the overnight low will fall to 28, the weather service said.
Late tonight, snow, freezing rain and sleet are possible before 4 a.m. Saturday. The chance of precipitation is 100% and snow accumulations could reach 3 to 5 inches.
But temperatures will rise into the low 40s Saturday and a lingering chance of rain will likely melt the snow.
Winds on Saturday could gust as high as 35 mph, the weather service said. The overnight low will be 10. Wind chill values could dip as low as minus 5. Another chance of snow is possible Saturday afternoon and night.
There will be a 20 percent chance of snow on Sunday. The high will be 15.
