TIPPECANOE VALLEY 46, MANCHESTER 25
Valley mounted a huge second half en route to a second straight victory at Manchester.
Valley outscored Manchester 27-0 in the second half, and did so with Cam Parker toting the rock. Parker had 27 carries for 206 yards and a touchdown. In all, Valley rushed 54 times for 345 yards against the Squires.
Alex Morrison added 59 yards, but was the horse that pulled the cart into the endzone five times on runs of 14, two, 13, five and two. Noah Miller added a one-yarder for Valley’s other touchdown. Miller threw for 64 yards, all going to Morrison on two passes of 41 and 23 yards.
Manchester had Delton Moore going early, scoring a pair of touchdowns as part of a 175-yard rushing night. Devin Marcum added two quarterback sneaks for scores for the Squires.
Valley improves to 3-3 on the year and 2-1 in the Three Rivers Conference and is already counting down the Bell Game next Friday in Death Valley against undefeated Rochester. Manchester dips to 2-4 and 0-2, the Squires set to host Whitko.
PIONEER 56, TRITON 6
Triton suffered its second Hoosier North Athletic Conference loss, falling by a lopsided 56-6 margin to Class A, No. 1 Pioneer at home Friday.
The Panthers racked up 429 offensive yards, including 350 rushing yards, on the way to the win. The Trojans finished with just 118 yards of total offense. Notre Dame recruit Jack Kiser ran for 119 yards and four touchdowns for the visitors, Daniel Gregorich rushed for 101 yards, and Miles Von Tobel finished with 72 rushing yards. Kiser also went 3 of 7 passing for 66 yards.
Bo Snyder scuffled to a 3-of-12 passing mark for 64 yards with two interceptions for Triton. He ran for his team’s only touchdown from a yard out in the first quarter, a score that cut the Trojans’ deficit to 14-6. Hunter McIntyre finished with 37 rushing yards to lead the home team on the ground.
Pioneer (6-0, 4-0 HNAC) travels to Knox next week. Triton (3-3, 2-2 HNAC) plays at North Judson.
PLYMOUTH 28, WAWASEE 14
Wawasee hung around at the Rock Pile Friday night, but couldn’t get any late offense in its sixth straight loss.
Wawasee trailed just 21-14 in the fourth quarter, but a Plymouth touchdown and a lack of answer left Wawasee on the short end.
Wawasee’s big highlight came when Evan Eshbach found Dylan Hepler for a very nice 11-yard touchdown pass to the corner of the endzone. Hepler rose above the corner and got the feet in bounds for the score.
Full stats from the game were not immediately provided.
Plymouth (4-2, 3-1 NLC) will head to Concord next for its annual grudge match while Wawasee (0-6, 0-4 NLC) will entertain Warsaw in the annual ‘W’ Game along with its homecoming.
