One Arrested After Stabbing In Syracuse
SYRACUSE — Gabriel Rhodes, 22, Milford, was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment of stab wounds received early Sunday morning, Oct. 29, as a result of a fight that began at Duffy’s Pub and Grub, 717 S. Huntington St., Syracuse. His condition is not known.
Jordan Edward Stone, 24, 4159 N. CR 100E, Warsaw, has been arrested on preliminary charges of battery with a deadly weapon. His bond has been set at $10,250 surety and cash.
According to Syracuse Police, a call was received at 3:51 a.m. from staff at Goshen General Hospital advising they had received a patient with stab wounds. Police were advised the stabbing reportedly occurred in Syracuse. The investigation found the stabbing was the result of a fight that began at Duffy’s Pub and Grub and had progressed to the parking lot north of that location.
Police learned the suspect was Stone and he fled from the scene in a vehicle, along with three identified occupants. Officer were able to make contact with Stone later in the day, at which time he was taken into custody.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
