Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
4:48 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, South SR 15 and West CR 550S, Warsaw. Drivers: Christopher Schipper, 18, South CR 1300N, Akron, and Tad J. Penrod, 28, South SR 15, Claypool. Schipper was passing the Penrod vehicle when he realized Penrod was turning left, causing the vehicles to sideswipe. Schipper’s vehicle then went into the ditch. Damage up to $10,000.
7 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, North Hepton Road, north of West CR 900N, Nappanee. Driver: Adry Lopez, 54, Beech Road, Nappanee. Due to dense fog, Lopez missed the corner and drove through an electric fence. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:08 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, South McKinley Street and East Jefferson Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Martha S. Young, 68, Rieder Street, Warsaw, and Filimarie Veach, 38, Lakeland Drive, Warsaw. Young refused medical treatment at the scene. Veach, who complained of abdomen pain, also refused medical treatment at the scene. Young stopped at the intersection, but failed to see the Veach vehicle before proceeding through the intersection causing the Veach vehicle to hit the side of the Young vehicle. Damage up to $25,000.
12:41 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, West Center Street, east of South Washington Street, Warsaw. A vehicle registered to Sara J. Landis, Eastview Lane, Warsaw, was sideswiped while parked along Center Street. Damage up to $1,000.
