Triton Baseball: Culver No Match
BOURBON – Triton responded with seven unanswered runs Thursday to claim a 7-2 Hoosier North Athletic Conference baseball win at Ken Keller Field.
Culver took a 2-0 lead on a two-run triple from Derek Keller. From there, it took a couple innings, but Triton finished up the offensive outbursts. Zac Pitney had a triple and drove in two runs, Dylan Hensley also had two RBIs and Adam Stevens had another three hits.
Triton (9-12, 8-7 TRC) rapped out 10 hits against the Cavaliers.
Pitney had another quality start on the mound, going all seven innings. Pitney allowed five hits, walked four but struck out 11 batters.
The two clubs will meet again Friday at Culver.
