Walter Rohr
Walter Rohr, 53, of Warsaw, passed away at 12:26 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, in his residence. He lost the fight of his life to lung cancer with his loving family and dear friends by his side.
He was born Jan. 16, 1962, to Juanita (Hannah) Rohr Lilly in Pontiac, Mich., who survives.
He was united in marriage to on Aug. 2, 1982, to Mary Eileen Sparks, who survives.
He served as an employee of Fairmont Homes, Liberty Homes and Forest River as a warranty technician from 1982 to 2011 and from 2011 to 2014 Forest River, again employed him as a technician. In addition, he was a self-employed contractor since 1997 serving Kosciusko County and serving the city of Warsaw as a mechanic and groundskeeper for Oakwood Cemetery. He was known for always gladly lending a helping hand to friends and family.
Survivors include a son Clayton Rohr of Warsaw; stepdaughter Jennifer (Kelly) Prater of Claypool; grandchildren Kylie and Wyatt Prater of Claypool, Ariana Rohr of Warsaw and Kadden, Kelich of North Webster. In addition, sisters Diane (Jerry) Anders of Texas, Doris (Wyane) Rohr of Kentucky; brothers Richard (Anna) Rohr of Indiana, Ronald (Phil) of Kentucky, Johnny (Sue) of Kentucky, Terry Rohr of Indiana, Jason (Sarah) of Kentucky, and Tim (Barb) of Indiana. Furthermore, 21 nieces and nephews survive.
He was preceded by a nephew Ashton Rohr, Katrine Rohr and stepfather Simon Lilly.
Calling hours will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Services are scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Doug Lemon will officiate the services. Interment will be private.
