Two Arrested In Marshall County After Officers Discover Drugs At Local Hotel

PLYMOUTH – Two people were arrested in Marshall County after officers discovered drugs at a local hotel.
Brent Hessler, 33, 116 E. Grant St., Bremen, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony; and unlawful possession of a syringe and maintaining a common nuisance, both level 6 felonies.
Anna E. Clemons, 24, 6131 Walnut St., Rochester, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe, and maintaining a common nuisance, all level 6 felonies.
On Jan. 18, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to the Economy Inn in Plymouth for a routine security check.
According to court documents, a K9 unit at the scene alerted to narcotic drugs inside a room. Property owners said the room was currently being rented by Clemons, who officers had prior knowledge about regarding past narcotic investigations.
Officers received a search warrant for the room, locating Clemons and Hessler inside the room. Hessler had an active parole violation warrant at the time of the search.
Upon searching the room, officers found a bag containing 1.8 grams of meth, drug paraphernalia, and four syringes.
Hessler has a prior conviction for dealing meth. Clemons has a prior conviction for maintaining a common nuisance and currently has pending charges for dealing and possessing meth.
Hessler and Clemons were both booked in the Marshall County Jail on Jan. 18.
