NOBLESVILLE — Guess who’s back?
Dave Matthews Band’s annual central Indiana summer shows are officially on the calendar. Ruoff Music Center’s most frequent act is headed back to the Noblesville venue June 26 and 27.
Ticket presale for members of the DMB Warehouse Fan Association has already begun, and it’s available at davematthewsband.com/warehouse. General sale begins 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, and registration is available on Ticketmaster.
The Noblesville two-night stand is part of 35 DMB dates from May to September. The annual U.S. tour will conclude with the band’s traditional three-show run at The Gorge Amphitheater in Gorge, Wash.
Dave Matthews Band has performed at Ruoff more than 50 times since the group’s 1996 debut there, thanks largely to the annual “Creekend” tradition of back-to-back shows that began when the venue was still called Deer Creek Music Center. Matthews, a Farm Aid board member, has also played solo and with Tim Reynolds as part of the Dave and Tim duo for Farm Aid at Ruoff.
Matthews’ affection for the venue – and Indianapolis – runs deep.
“I love the city of Indianapolis, and you kind of reconnect with things when you’re there,” he told IndyStar in a 2006 interview. “It’s nice to be able to come to a city that is always so supportive of us.”
