INDIANAPOLIS — Coca-Cola is returning to Indianapolis Motor Speedway under a new multiyear partnership announced by Coca-Cola Consolidated, restoring the brand’s presence at one of the most iconic venues in motorsports.
The agreement designates Coca-Cola as the official soft beverage and water sponsor of IMS. Coca-Cola Consolidated will also serve as the official partner of the Indy 500 Red Carpet and take part in several community-focused events connected to the race, including Indy 500 Porch Parties and Bike to the 500 activities.
“As Indianapolis’ local Coca-Cola bottler and the official beverage provider for IMS, we are thrilled to partner as the official soft beverage and water sponsor,” said Heather Hucks, vice president of consumer connections at Coca-Cola Consolidated.
The partnership marks a notable shift for the speedway after several years without Coca-Cola products on-site. In 2019, Pepsi and Mountain Dew became the track’s official soda beverages under a multiyear agreement, ending a long-standing relationship between IMS and Coca-Cola.Prior to that deal, Coca-Cola had been closely associated with the speedway dating back to its opening in 1909, when spectators could purchase a bottle of Coca-Cola for five cents.
Coca-Cola Consolidated is headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is the largest Coca-Cola bottler in the United States. The company serves more than 13,700 businesses across Indiana and employs more than 1,300 people at nine facilities statewide, contributing to the local economy and workforce.
Officials said the renewed partnership reflects Coca-Cola Consolidated’s long-standing ties to Indianapolis and its commitment to community engagement around major events such as the Indianapolis 500.
“Sharing a Coke with fellow race fans will once again be a Race Day tradition,” said INDYCAR and IMS President J. Douglas Boles.
Tickets for the 110th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge and other Month of May events are available through the Indianapolis Motor Speedway website.
