Warsaw Man Arrested On Drug Charges

WARSAW – A Warsaw man was arrested after a traffic stop resulted in the discovery of drugs.
Alfred Walter Paul McDonald, 60, 602 S. McClellan St., Warsaw, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; and possession of methamphetamine with enhancing circumstances, a level 5 felony.
On Jan. 9, a Warsaw Police officer was patrolling when he saw a vehicle fail to signal a turn and pulled it over. The officer identified the vehicle’s driver as McDonald.
According to court documents, a K9 unit at the scene alerted to illegal drugs inside the vehicle. Officers noticed McDonald attempting to hide something near his pant waistband and located a smoking device.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a tin containing meth.
McDonald was previously convicted of dealing meth in Kosciusko County in February 2022.
McDonald has already been arrested and released on bond.
