WARSAW – Multiple counties in northern Indiana are under Travel Advisories or Watches due to winter weather that occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 14.
Locally, Kosciusko, Elkhart, Fulton, Noble, Wabash, and Whitley Counties are under a Travel Advisory.
A Travel Advisory is the lowest level of local travel advisory, meaning that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation. Individuals should use caution or avoid these areas.
Marshall County is under a Travel Watch. This means conditions are threatening to the safety of the public. During a “watch,” only essential travel, such as to and from work or in emergency situations, is recommended, and emergency action plans should be implemented by businesses, schools, government agencies and other organizations.
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security travel advisory map can be viewed here.
Locally, Marshall County remains under a Winter Storm Warning until 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15. Fulton County is under a Winter Weather Advisory until 1 p.m. Thursday.
